Mitch Howie was born June 12, 1954 at Langley Air Force Base, Virginia. He graduated from Huntsville High, Huntsville, Ala. in 1972. He then attended the University of Virginia for his undergraduate and the University of Alabama. He graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1980. Upon graduation, he worked for two years in the Gulf of Mexico oil fields. He practiced law in Galveston, Texas, from 1984 until 1988 when he returned to Huntsville, Alabama. The Law firm of Mitch Howie has been located at 107 North Side Square, Huntsville, Alabama, since 1991.
Mitch Howie is a member of the Alabama State Bar Association, the Madison County Bar Association, and and has practiced bankruptcy in all Alabama Courts and the Southern District of Texas. He is licensed to practice in state and federal Courts in Alabama and before the 11th Circuit Federal Court of Appeals in Atlanta, Georgia.
Personally, Mitch Howie has been married since 1986 to his wife Debra Howie. They have three children, Schuyler, Turner and Cailin who were active in film, music, gourmet cooking, horseback riding, soccer and other sports. Turner is attending junior college, working at Watercress Restuarant and Cailin has recently graduated from the University of Alabama and is working in California.
