We are very excited to announce that this is the third year that Country Ark Farm summer camp will be making this unique experience available to able-bodied children, in addition to our dearly loved specially-abled clientele. Over the years we have had many requests to incorporate the inclusion of abled-bodied children into our summer camp. Therefore, our team at Country Ark Farm have worked long and hard to incorporate new, exciting, and adaptable programs into this year’s camp agenda.
We are hoping that the inclusion of family members and friends will foster new bonds and personal growth for all involved. Therefore, we encourage siblings and friends of current campers to join in the summer fun. With this addition, Country Ark Farm would also like to assure all the parents that the original mission, of catering to the unique needs of our specially-abled campers, will remain the priority of our summer camp.
In this packet, you will find the appropriate forms that need to be returned in order to attend Summer Day Camp at Country Ark Farm.
Scholarships will be available from the “Ingeborg A. Biondo Memoirial Foundation”, for Specially-abled campers ONLY. If you are the parent of an abled-bodied camper, please do not contact Biondo for financial support, as this foundation was created to sponsor specially-abled children only. If you are the parent of a specially-abled camper, please carefully read the information below.
Day camp activities include educational conversations about each animal on the Farm, bottle feeding baby animals, grooming & exercising them. We also offer many other games designed to encourage socialization and communication, crafts, games, and playtime in the outdoor picnic area. We have a handicap-accessible swing, hammock, sandbox, water slide and bounce house for all to enjoy. Campers may also be visited by local artists and musicians.
