Make sure when the firmware of your range extender gets downloaded on your computer, you extract the file using the Winzip or Windows extractor. The downloaded file will not be opened or selected if you didn’t extract it before. Follow all the precautions while you were uploading the downloaded firmware file into the dlinkap.local interface. Do not power off the device or perform any operation until the downloading process doesn’t complete.
