Dr. Eric Bergemann received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, California. He also has an M.A. degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, Los Angeles.
Dr. Eric Bergemann has worked as the Director of Professional Training at the Mindsight Institute with Daniel Siegel, M.D., and was part of the regular study groups in neurobiology of both Dr. Siegel and Allan Schore, Ph.D. for five years. He is also the past Director of Clinical Training in Los Angeles for A Home Within, a nationwide non-profit organization providing psychotherapy to current and former foster care youth. He has completed Level II advanced training in trauma treatment and attachment, working somatically with the body, with Dr. Pat Ogden in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. He was adjunct faculty at The Chicago School where he has taught Developmental Neurobiology. He holds a certificate in Couples Therapy and Human Sexuality through UCLA.
Dr. Bergemann did his post-doctoral training at the Reiss-Davis Child Study Center and at Valley Community Clinic. He also trained at the Linden Center, working with emotionally disturbed children and adolescents in psychotherapy in a non-public school setting. In addition, he trained in the medical genetics research lab of Dr. Richard Boles at Childrens Hospital LA.
Dr. Bergemann also holds an M.B.A. in Finance and International Business from the University of Chicago.
