Gnostic of present age, an heir of the Luminous Guides, Shaykh and Servant of the Sufi Path, Shaykh Hafiz Muhammad Naqib Ur Rehman is the present custodian of Eidgah Shareef, Rawalpindi.
Born on the 4th of January, 1953 to the blessed household of the Great Sufis of Pakistan, his lineage traces back to the 15th century Mughal Emperor Babar. His paternal Ancestors are all Sufi Masters and previous Custodians of the Blessed Eidgah Shrine. As a young child, he attained his Religious and Spiritual Education directly from his blessed Father and Spiritual Master, Shaykh Hafiz Muhammad Habib Ur Rehman [May God shower His Infinite Mercy upon him].
Like the blessed Ancestors, Shaykh Hafiz Muhammad Naqib Ur Rehman also memorized the Holy Quran by heart at an early age and is an expert in the field of Islamic Jurisprudence, its Doctrine and Blessed Ahadeeth-e-Mubarakah. He speaks fluent Urdu, Punjabi, and English and can very well comprehend and write Arabic.
With a sophisticated educational background, the Eminent Shaykh is not only a Spiritual Guide but is also very much aware of world economics and its ever changing social, political, and environmental scenarios and all the related issues.

These include but not limited to a food program providing meals throughout the year, free healthcare, and schools in Rawalpindi for boys and girls, where they are not just educated but are also groomed to be a better human being in order to serve the humanity.
The Eminent Custodian of the blessed Shrine has been actively providing aid during natural calamities’ operations across the country including the provinces of KP, Punjab and Sind. And as per the Blessed Shrine’s policy, these activities are conducted without widespread publicity campaigns.
